These Terms & Conditions govern use of dinkumviking.com.au and purchases made from Dinkum Viking.

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms and any policy applying to the product or delivery method you select.

Our products come with rights and guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, statutory right, remedy or liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Dinkum Viking axes are supplied and marketed as adult decorative collector and display products.

In Western Australia, an axe or axe head falls within the definition of an edged weapon under the Weapons Act 1999 (WA). Decorative or unsharpened presentation does not necessarily remove that legal classification.

You must be 18 years or older to purchase an axe product. Age or identity verification may be required before dispatch.

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An automated order confirmation confirms that we have received the order; it does not necessarily mean that a restricted axe order has passed age, identity, payment, destination or compliance review.

We may reasonably hold or cancel an order because of failed verification, suspected fraud, stock error, material pricing error, unsupported destination, applicable legal restrictions, or refusal by an approved courier or payment provider.

If we cancel an order after payment has been captured, the applicable payment will be refunded.

We aim to describe products accurately. Components and natural materials may show reasonable variation in wood grain, texture, engraving, leather, wrapping, finish and colour.

Normal disclosed variation alone does not necessarily make a product defective. This does not excuse a product that is materially different from its description, unsafe, defective or otherwise fails an applicable consumer guarantee.

A purchaser who uses a decorative axe outside its stated collection and display purpose does so contrary to the purpose for which the product was supplied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dinkum Viking is not responsible for injury, loss or damage to the extent it is caused by deliberate or unlawful use, use as a weapon, threats or intimidation, throwing, chopping, striking, unsafe handling, unsafe storage, unlawful transport, allowing access by a child or unauthorised person, or failure to follow clear safety instructions.

Decorative axes should not be sharpened, reprofiled, converted or otherwise modified in a way that materially changes their intended function or safety.

Nothing in this section excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Customers must provide an accurate delivery address and comply with any restricted-delivery requirements that apply to axe orders.

Axe delivery may involve tracked shipping, secure packaging, signature requirements, recipient verification, depot collection or restrictions on authority-to-leave, depending on the destination and carrier.

Dinkum Viking does not provide refunds or exchanges merely because a customer changes their mind, subject to any voluntary policy we expressly offer.

This does not limit rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty, unsafe, materially different from its description or otherwise fails an applicable consumer guarantee, a remedy may be available depending on the circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Subject to that limitation and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Dinkum Viking is not responsible for loss caused solely by a customer’s deliberate unlawful conduct, deliberate misuse, unauthorised modification, unsafe storage, unsafe display or failure to follow clear product instructions.

A customer remains responsible for complying with laws applying to their possession and conduct after lawful supply.

Dinkum Viking may use third-party providers for payment processing, age or identity verification, fraud prevention, website hosting, analytics, shipping and delivery.

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Third-party providers may also operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

You must not interfere with website security, impersonate another person, submit false age or identity information, attempt to bypass restricted-product controls, or use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

The Dinkum Viking name, logos, original photography, graphics, website design and written content are owned by Dinkum Viking or used with permission and may not be commercially reproduced without authorisation.

If you have a problem with an order or product, contact us first so we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and applicable Commonwealth laws. Nothing in this clause removes any mandatory consumer right.

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary. The current version and effective date will be displayed on this page.
